Proudly supported by Wenty Leagues Club, Evolve Housing’s “My Story, my Neighbourhood” Photography Exhibition displayed the photographic talents of our Evolve Housing tenants. Over a course of 5 weeks throughout May and June this year, some of our Evolve Housing tenants participated in a Photography training course. Held at Wentworthville, under the guidance of professional Photographer and local George Voulgaropoulos, participants were taught how to use the most popular form of photo documentation available today, the Digital SLR. Encouraged to document their everyday lives, the Exhibition held at The Holroyd Centre last Wednesday was a testament to both their progress and achievement with the camera. “My Story, My Neighbourhood” successfully encompassed the variety of works that were comprised from a range of social-cultural backgrounds. Be sure to check out the photographs that will be on display at Merrylands Library until the 26th August 2012.
